An 18th-century Neapolitan Nativity scene is now installed in the museum’s entrance hall until 6 January 2025. It belongs to the Isidro Brunete Collection and has been loaned for display at the museum during the Christmas season. This Nativity was started in the 1970s and includes notable groups of figures such as the angels, the principal scene of the Virgin, the Christ Child and Saint Joseph, and the Magi, accompanied by more figures that illustrate life of the time: street sellers, musicians, travellers, passers-by, shoppers, innkeepers and others that represent a wide range of activities and trades, all surrounding the principal scene of the Birth of Christ.

During the Christmas period the museum will continue to offer a varied exhibition programme which includes both the Thyssen collections and the exhibitions Gabriele Münter. The great woman Expressionist painter, Tabita Rezaire. The Education Department has organised two new family visits for the school holidays: Painting with three Spots, aimed at families with children aged 3 to 6 years, and Box of surprises, for children aged 7 and above.
