Essayist, professor at the Complutense University of Madrid and fellow of the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Madrid. De Diego was a Fulbright scholar at New York University, held the King Juan Carlos I Chair of Spanish Culture and Civilization at NYU and the 13th Luis Ángel Arango International Chair of Art , and received the Ida Cordelia Beam Distinguished Professorship for 2017–2018. She has authored many books and curated a large number of temporary exhibitions.
