Among the events and activities offered in the re-structured Young Friends Programme is one that aims to introduce members to the functioning of the museum and the day to day work of its professional staff.

Entitled An afternoon with..., the first session will be led by Juan Ángel López-Manzanares, curator and head of contents. He will explain how the museum is making use of contemporary themes to establish dialogues with its collections through the project entitled The museum in the cultural debate.

Participants will also be able to see the Trustees’ Room, a space not normally open to the public, which is used for the sessions of the Board of Trustees, the Foundation’s governing body, and for other official meetings.
