The Region of Madrid also works with the museum every year on diverse projects, giving essential support to the cultural development of the geographical area. Thus, the Department of Tourism and Culture of Madrid collaborates in the main temporary exhibitions of the museum, as well as in different initiatives and activities which aim to the development and promotion of visual arts both within and outside the Region.
