Artist studios: Marta Cárdenas

The Museum has launched a new activity for Friends in the Patron, Honour, Benefactor and Corporate categories: visits to the studios of different contemporary artists to discover their evolution and the media they use in their creative process.

The activity begins with a visit to the studio of the painter Marta Cárdenas. Using Max Beckmann's 1937 work Still Life with Yellow Roses as her starting point, Cárdenas will demonstrate how pastel and watercolour form the main media in her work and nature her pictorial motif.
