Prior to the closure of Artists’ Letters from the Anne-Marie Springer Collection Friends can enjoy a private guided tour led by the exhibition’s curator Clara Marcellán. These letters, which are filled with beautiful and rapid calligraphy, small sketches, ideas and desires, find their echoes in works in the collection, introducing us to the most private side of artists such as Pissarro, Gauguin and Matisse. By reading their thoughts on everyday and artistic matters, including love, anxieties, inspiration and their artistic activities, we not only acquire a greater understanding of their characters but also a much more personal, enriching and close-up perspective.

For Friends unable to attend in person, the curator will also be leading an online tour accessed via the Microsoft Teams platform.
