Chagall in context
Fundación MAPFRE is holding the exhibition Chagall. The cry of freedom at its Madrid exhibition space, organised in collaboration with La Piscine - Musée d’Art et d’Industrie André Diligent in Roubaix and the Musée national Marc Chagall in Nice. It presents the artist’s work through the historical context in which he lived and from the perspective of his political commitment.
Among the works on display are three paintings from the museum’s collection: The Madonna of the Village, The Cock and The Grey House. In conjunction with these loans, Friends can take part in a guided tour of the exhibition and discover the life and career of one of the 20th century’s most important artists.
