Concert 1914! The avant-garde and the Great War

Coinciding with the temporary exhibition 1914! The Avant-garde and the Great War, the Museum organised a concert. Performed by the Artaria group, the programme was based around the idea of the 1914 War and its crucial influence on culture of the day. Among the works which were performed are The Iron Brigade by Arnold Schönberg, the suite for piano entitled Couperin´s Tomb by Maurice Ravel, and Igor Stravinsky´s celebrated The Soldier´s Tale.
