Guided visit
- 25 March 2025
A work by one of the great painters of the Spanish Baroque, The Pietà (1633) by José de Ribera, is the subject of the latest edition of Focus on the Work, an exclusive activity for Friends in which they have the opportunity to share reflections and ideas about paintings in the collection with the museum’s curators.
On this occasion Mar Borobia, chief curator of Old Master Painting, will introduce the canvas to participants with a focus on its chromatic range, figures and the iconography through which Ribera constructed the image in this unique work within his oeuvre.
