The pianist Luis Agius is presenting his own compositions inspired by various works by Joaquín Sorolla, which he will be performing together with works by Enrique Granados in two concerts: on 20 April at 18.30 for Friends of the Museum and on 21 April at 19.30 for the general public. 

The Spanish dance Oriental and Love Letters by Granados, as well as works by Agius inspired by Sorolla’s paintings Walk along the Sea Shore and Sad Inheritance are among the items on the programme. Concerts are held in the Auditorium. Free entry until all seats are filled.

Luis Agius is a composer, concert pianist, music critic, playwright and writer. This wide range of activities has made him known across Europe where he enjoys the support of numerous institutions. In 2015 he performed in the Palacio Foz in Lisbon with a concert in homage to Pessoa and Lorca, sponsored by the Council of Minister of the Portuguese government, the Spanish embassy and the Instituto Cervantes. In 2016, within the AECID-AIE agreement, he offered a recital tour in Germany performing his own compositions inspired by Sorolla’s paintings.
