Following the recent inauguration of Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904) and before the imminent opening of Heroines, the Museum has organised the programme of accompanying guided tours offered exclusively to Friends. The exhibition Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904) has been jointly organised with the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Musée d’Orsay and is the first major survey devoted to this French painter and sculptor to be presented in Spain. Guided tours take place on Sunday 20 and Monday 21 March. The representation of women in art from the Renaissance to the present is the central theme of Heroines, an exhibition jointly organised with Fundación Caja Madrid.
