In conjunction with the restoration and technical study of Fra Angelico’s painting The Virgin of Humility (ca. 1425), the results of which can be seen until 12 December in a special display in Room 11, the museum is organising a lecture morning. The Thyssen’s artistic director Guillermo Solana will focus on the work’s creator Guido di Pietro, better known as Fra Angelico, while Susana Pérez, a restorer at the museum, will explain the details of the technical study and the work she undertook on the painting.
