Temporary exhibition focus: Picasso/Lautrec
Friends of the Museum are offered an exclusive, private guided tour of Picasso/Lautrec, the first monographic exhibition that juxtaposes the art of these two great modern masters, featuring more than 100 works.
Caricatural portraits, café nightlife, cabarets and theatres, the harsh reality of marginalised individuals, the spectacle of the circus and the erotic universe of brothels are among the subjects that interested both artists and are now used to articulate the exhibition. The result is to reveal the extensive overlap and parallels between the two and the influence of Lautrec on Picasso, evident not only at the start of the latter’s career but throughout his entire output including his mature phase.
Booking opens on 3 October online or on tel +34 917 911 370.
