Today we’re going to… Carlota Pérez de Castro studio visit

Young Friends will be continuing with the series of gallery visits which, since 2024, has allowed them to discover contemporary artists and cultural spaces characterised by different approaches. Focusing on areas of Madrid that are notable on an artistic level, this is a relaxed activity which encourages conversation and a group approach to the visit. 

On this occasion the destination is the studio of Carlota Pérez de Castro, an artist and designer whose practice focuses on the intersection between art, craft and experimentation with materials. Her work explores new visual narratives through traditional and contemporary techniques, giving rise to pieces that establish a dialogue with space and memory. 

Pérez de Castro is a member of LabThyssen’s panel of experts, contributing through her vision and experience to the development of initiatives that promote creativity and critical thinking within the programme.
