#VersionaThyssen XXI
We are back! Surprise us and surprise yourself with your creativity. We are inviting young creators and creatives from all over the world to reinterpret works from the collection to compete for new prizes. If you are between 16 and 35 years old, participate on Instagram in this competition that has no limitations of artistic discipline or theme.
Nicolás Villamizar and Carolina Lindberg are the guest artists and members of the jury for this edition.

Works to version
Choose one of these works of our permanent collection. You can participate with one or more versions
Requirements for participation
- Creators between the ages of 16 and 35, from anywhere in the world, can participate. If you are a minor, you must send us an authorisation to a versiona@museothyssen.org.
- Post your version from a public Instagram account including hashtags #VersionaThyssen20 and #VersionaThyssen, mention to a @museothyssen, and the title of your work and of the original painting.
- You can participate with more than one version.
- The work must be published between 9 September and 13 October 2024.
- If you would like your work to be exhibited at the museum on the day of the competition presentation, pleasesend it to us.
Up to €1,000 in prizes
- 3 first prizes of €1.000, 3 second prizes of €500 and and advantages in the museum.
- Prior Art Space special prize for an artistic residency lasting 1 to 3 months, with all expenses covered (to be awarded after the last edition of the year).

- Young Friends of the Thyssen Awards with advantages at the museum.
Awards ceremony on 25 October at 21.00
On saturday 25 October we walked through the rooms of the collection in semi-darkness and discovered a selection of the versions of this edition, projected next to the original paintings. We will announce the winning works and will have a concert to close the party.... We will reveal all the details soon!
