On the occasion of the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition, we present a large floral installation conceived by the artist Isabel Marías.
Inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's flowers, her admired New Mexico horizons and her pioneering abstract look, the work is located in the Hotel Palacio de los Duques, in the heart of Madrid. We invite you to discover the spectacular floral landscape that Isabel Marías, creative director of Loewe Flores and collaborator of institutions such as the Sorolla Museum or the MNCARS under her Elisabeth Blumen label, has created for the occasion, combining orchids, calla lilies, wood, carnations, amaryllis, rocks, anthurium, stypa, sand, cymbidium, clay and many other natural materials. A great explosion of ephemeral beauty that drinks from the idea of "the faraway", the vital and aesthetic paradise that O'Keeffe found in the landscapes of New Mexico, and that she represented again and again in her paintings.
FLORA Festival, in charge of curating and producing the installation, has brought the world's best floral installation artists to Spain in its three editions held in Cordoba since 2017. Georgia O'Keeffe: The Faraway is her first installation in Madrid.
