Towards the end of his life Caravaggio is in hiding in Naples, hoping to receive a pardon so as to be able to return to Rome. It is then that he receives an extraordinary commission...
This is the basic plot of a play written by the playwright and composer Luis Agius to mark the exhibition on the restoration of Caravaggio’s Saint Catherine of Alexandria, which has been sponsored by Asisa.
The performances are on 15 and 17 December in the auditorium and star José Bustos, Ángel Amorós and Maty Gómez, among others, as well as featuring live music by the Dolce Rima group.
