Alma-Tadema and Victorian Painting in the Pérez-Simón Collection
With Véronique Gerard-Powell, curator of the exhibition
The exhibition is an invitation to discover the aesthetic sensuality of some of the most emblematic painters of nineteenth-century English painting, who cultivated in their works values that offered a strong contrast with the moralizing attitudes of the time.
Its curator Véronique Gerard-Powell, honorary professor at the Université Paris-Sorbonne, presents fifty works belonging to the Pérez Simón Collection, one of the most important in the world in Victorian painting.
