Symposium Feminist Agency and empowerment in visual arts

On the occasion of the exhibition Heroínas, curated by Guillermo Solana, an International Symposium took place to be held at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum on May 5 and 6, 2011. The Symposium, aimed at students, was focused on analyzing feminist strategies developed in the history and theory of modern art and production models and public and private management in contemporary art, sensitive to the demands of new audiences and audiences. The complex notion and problems of "empowerment" were discussed in order to establish networks and lines of research, in connection with the art system.
