Discovering Caravaggio, lecture day

In conjunction with the special display Discovering Caravaggio. Technical study and restoration of “Saint Catherine of Alexandria”, there will be two lectures on 27 March. They will be given by the museum’s artistic director, Guillermo Solana, who will discuss Caravaggio and the aesthetic of the theatrical rehearsal, and Ubaldo Sedano, head of the museum’s restoration department, who will focus on the new information that has emerged from the recent technical study of the painting, as well as the methods employed in its restoration.
