Feminism(s) and Equality
After centuries of demands, the feminist movements have reached a new level of relevance in the last decades, helping us understand the profoundly patriarchal bias of our societies. Our museum, firmly committed to equality, brings together on this page re-readings of its collection from a feminist perspective, with exhibitions by women artists, and initiatives in favor of equality.

Kora Project
Taking the name of Kora, the first portrait painter in the history of art according to Pliny the Elder in his Natural History, this annual program introduces feminist proposals by Spanish-based artists of different generations, addressing the transformation of classic iconographies and traditional artistic genres through new media. The artists can also intervene in the galleries of the Collection and in other areas of the museum.
