Focus on the temporary exhibition: The Occult in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collections

In the summer of 2023 the museum is presenting the exhibition The Occult in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collections. It focuses on the presence in the visual artists of fields of knowledge such as alchemy, astrology and spiritism, which have survived for centuries in a hostile environment thanks to their powers of diguise and infiltration.

Curated by Guillermo Solana, the exhibition brings together 63 works of art from the Thyssen-Bornemisza collections in which traces of this occult knowledge can be detected and documented.

The programme Focus on the Exhibition offers Friends the chance to enjoy guided tours in the galleries with different date and time options, as well as an online tour on 14 September. Furthermore, on Monday 30 June Friends can be the first to visit the exhibition in an exclusive preview organised for them.
