Vūlnera. Caring for those who care for us
The Vūlnera programme offers cultural experiences for health and social care workers, researchers, carers and students in the health and wellbeing sector.
Vūlnera has been conceived by the Fundación Cultura en Vena to restore the work and emotional impact on healthcare workers through the therapeutic capacity of the arts. Its objectives are to intellectually nourish healthcare staff in order to alleviate the emotional overload to which they are exposed, to provide suggestions and inspiration applicable to their work, and to help repair an emotional climate damaged by work overload to help prevent possible burn-out.
Approached from a holistic point of view, Vūlnera explores the concepts of health/illness and well-being from the participants' own professional experience and their experiences as care professionals.
To this end, the selected artistic content - guided tours of the museum - is offered through participatory mediation, with the aim of constructing a shared space for reflection.
The Vūlnera programme has been designed in collaboration with Patricia Fernández Martín (Clinical Psychologist at the Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal and cultural activist) and Ana Folguera (Art Historian, writer and cultural mediator)
