To mark International Museum Day, the independent study programme Organism / Art in critical applied ecologies of the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and TBA21 Academy is inviting the artist and musician Coco Moya to bring the museum to life with Tropos Triptych. Music and Territory, a performative lecture.

This proposal, the result of Moya’s research project “Sound Geomancy. Landscape as Score”, offers a reflection on how auditive thinking is essential for establishing a dialogue with our environment and our inner self. It looks at how technology, music and nature come together in the landscape through the metaphor of sound.

Moya relates artistic practice to musical ethnology, archaeoacoustics and media archaeology in order to present a geo-sonologial account which starts in Pre-history and continues into Post-history.
