Following the summer break, the activity Focus on the Work will be back in September, on this occasion transporting us to early 20th Bavaria where Wassily Kandinsky’s paintings revolutionised and permanently changed the art of his day.
Through the painting The Ludwigskirche in Munich from the Carmen Thyssen Collection the curator of Modern Painting Marta Ruiz del Árbol will introduce and share with participants a key moment in the career of the Russian-born Kandinsky, when he forged the key elements that would make him a pioneer of abstraction.
The activity lasts approximately 45 minutes and takes place in front of the painting in the gallery where it is displayed.
