In conjunction with the exhibition which the museum is devoting to Rosario de Velasco’s work from the 1920s and 1930s, Guillermo Solana, the museum’s artistic director, will analyse the artist's oeuvre in terms of its relationship with the artistic trends and painters of Velasco’s generation, both Spanish and European, and their influences, from her classical training to German New Objectivity and Italian Novecentismo.
