PRIOR Art Space

PRIOR was founded in 2020 with the aim of supporting the visual arts and nd to give voice to internationally and historically underrepresented artists bringing to the conversation different visions on concepts that reflect relevant concerns in a contemporary landscape.

Based on this mission the entity develops different lines to promote the creation and dissemination of new creators: artistic residencies, exhibition spaces, curatorship of exhibitions and artistic advisory.

In their efforts to democratize the art world and to get proactively involved with artists, institutions and initiatives, PRIOR Art Space supports our #VersionaThyssen program, an online competition for young creators to reinterpret the museum's paintings.

Thanks to this contribution, #VersionaThyssen has in 2023 a special prize of 3,000 euros and awards an artist residency. These acknowledgements will be given separately to two outstanding participants from among all the applications received.
