Quirónsalud

Quirónsalud is the leading healthcare group in Spain and, along with its parent company Fresenius-Helios, also in Europe. In addition to its activity in Spain, Quirónsalud is also present in Latin America. Together, they have more than 50.000 professionals in over 180 healthcare centers, including 59 hospitals with more than 8.000 hospital beds.

In addition to high professional and technical standards, Quirónsalud also boasts a valuable research and teaching vocation. This focus, combined with the entity's social commitment, leads to collaboration with the museum for the Emotions through Art project.

In the year 2024, this project proposes a scientific approach to the works in the Thyssen-Bornemisza collection, aimed at unraveling the emotional reactions that different paintings provoke in the viewer. The research process, based on biometric analysis, seeks to deepen our understanding of the impact of art on human sensitivity. 

Thus, the initiative allows us to access new knowledge about the transformative power of painting on the viewer, and can provide useful data of interest to enrich our conception of health and well-being.
