We invite you to discover the exhibition Colonial Memory in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collections, an exhibition dedicated to the role of museums and the works they house in the legitimisation of the Eurocentric narrative.

Through a selection of works from the museum's historical collections, as well as contemporary pieces from the TBA21 collection, the exhibition highlights the consequences of colonialism that began in the 16th century and its presence in Western iconography through idyllic and exoticising images that mask colonial inequality and violence.
