Symposium: Face to face with the portrait in the age of Rembrandt

In conjunction with the exhibition Rembrandt and the Portrait in Amsterdam, 1590-1670, the museum organised an international symposium to analyse different themes arising from the exhibition, some of them considered of particular importance.

The talks, to be given by leading experts, focus on issues such as the attribution of some of Rembrandt’s portraits, his role as a portraitist or recent research and discoveries relating to this period of art history and to the genre of portraiture.
